Angel of Death - Moleskine by scumbugg Angel of Death - Moleskine by scumbugg
Once again, I've gone a little overboard on a drawing, especially since this is supposed to be a sketchbook. I just couldn't stop drawing on that soft, luxurious, moleskine paper. I'd like to watercolor this, but i worry how the paper would hold up. Anyone have any experience with this?

I guess this is my surrealist interpretation of the Angel of Death. I never meant it to be so when I started, it just gradually built itself up to what you see above. It does seem a fitting theme to me though.

Water color holds up pretty well in these, actually. Don't expect to draw on the other side though.

ah I believe that if you watercolor it, it will not result in something good... for such moleskines, the paper is quite thin, so I don't think it would be nice. (I actually tried and it ruined my picture ;__;)

I also tried watercolour on a thick moleskine sketch paper and didn't like the outcome at all. It was really weird and the paper didn't take the colour really... D:

Your picture is pretty awesome, man ! Keep it up !
And also I agree at EXCELLENT PAPER.

Talk about intricate line work. And I mean INTRICATE. You handle your lines so preciesly, it is quite astounding. And your line quality is wonderful too. I can see a lot of variation, and that shows a lot of skill. I'm not quite sure what to say about this piece other than it is absolutely stunning.

I really cannot wait to see more of your work, especially if it is even HALF as beautiful as this.

the brown paper is the inside cover of the notebook. the notebook is moleskine brand, which is pretty popular and should be fairly easy to find. seriously awesome paper.
